Choose what you give each day. It is charged once a month, and every day goes to the yungeleit in 86 kollelim across Eretz Yisroel, straight into their own bank accounts.

Charged once a month. Over a year that is $1,080, enough to keep one more yungerman learning for the whole year.

A thousand gifts.

The Mishnah in Avos teaches וְהַכֹּל לְפִי רֹב הַמַּעֲשֶׂה, everything follows the abundance of the deed. The Rambam explains that good traits are acquired by doing a good deed many times over, and he gives this example:

כשיתן האדם למי שראוי אלף זהובים בבת אחת לאיש א׳ ... לא יעלה בידו מדת הנדיבות בזה המעשה האחד הגדול כמו שמגיע למי שהתנדב אלף זהובים באלף פעמים

“When a person gives a thousand gold coins at once to one deserving man … the trait of generosity does not come to him through that one great deed as it comes to one who gives a thousand gold coins a thousand times.”

Rambam, Peirush HaMishnayos, Avos 3:15 רמב״ם, פירוש המשניות, אבות ג:טו

The second man, the Rambam says, repeated the act of generosity a thousand times, and it took hold in him. A dollar a day is giving the Rambam's way: a gift every day of the year.

Where the days go.

Your daily gift is not assigned to one kollel. It goes to the whole register: 86 kollelim and 1,380 yungeleit in 10 cities, every one named on this site. Kollel Partners covers a portion of each kollel's budget, the part that decides whether a Rosh Kollel can accept one more yungerman.

The daily givers.

Appeals come and go, and the learning does not stop between them. The daily givers are the money that arrives every month before any appeal. More than 250 people give daily today. At 1,000, the daily givers alone carry the program's monthly base.

Questions daily givers ask.

When am I charged?

Once a month, starting the day you join. A month is counted as 30 days, so $3 a day is $90 a month. A receipt is emailed with every charge.

Can I change the amount or stop?

Any time. Write to info@kollelpartners.org or call 646-319-6138, and we will change it or stop it for you.

I already give through TorahGiving.

Then you are already a daily giver. TorahGiving was the first home of this program. Your gift keeps going exactly as it is, and you do not need to sign up again here.

Why every day, and not one gift?

Because a Rosh Kollel can only take another yungerman when he knows the money will be there next month too. A daily giver's gift is already there when the month begins.

Is it tax-deductible?

Yes. Gifts are received by Congregation Bais Shalom, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 46-4301263.
